Yes, I live in an "extreme
home!" It was once a catfish restaurant, bait and tackle shop and gas
station ... My husband purchased this property in 1974 when it was an
abandoned shell of a building with broken windows and doors, the
restaurant equipment thrown out front and weeds grown up all around. The
inside had been taken over by wild dogs and no one could have seen any way
to salvage it - except for David Bridges!
We moved in with 5 children and proceeded to remodel - a task that has
yet to see any end. Along the way we managed to incorporate a large art
studio, where I teach two days a week, and a custom frame shop which
provides additional income as well as convenience for myself and my art
students.

Everyone is hard at work on her own project
... Some are painting in oil but most are doing pastel.

PASTEL TRAY
I built a box to hold assorted brands of pastel chalk for
my art students to utilize. The sticks are bedded down on grey recycled
paper. This keeps them clean and from transferring color to one another.
